Blouse Roumaine

Well, I'm Romanian and proud of it! That being said, I'm starting by presenting  Blouse Roumaine - An Anthology of Romanian Women by Constantin Roman. A great book I've just ran into on the web and thought is spectacular. It's renowned worldwide and it has got a bunch of great reviews.

"This is a collection of biographical essays of 160 Romanian women, from antiquity, through the middle ages to the present-day, with the greater emphasis on modern and contemporary women."

The title means basically "Romanian blouse"(you're smart, I know you got that!) which actually depicts a piece of the national folk costume. I'm recommending the book and also the attire. Btw: the cover art work is a reinterpretation of Henri Matisse. Starting 1940, he created a series of paintings with women in Romanian blouses.
